Alex Drake

Alex was the twenty one-year-old red ranger at the beginning of Time Force, and was obviously an excellent Time Force officer, being the red ranger and the one to fight Ransik, the worst criminal of the time. He succeeded in capturing Ransik, and at the mutant's trial, he proposed to his girlfriend, Jennifer Scotts. She accepted - who wouldn't? It was clear just from the look on his face that he loved her very much.

But then Ransik escaped, and during a fight with him, Alex is defeated, presumed dead. He sends the other four officers- including Jen- to the past after Ransik, and gives them his morpher, and from there they fight for months.

Little do they know that Alex is doing his part in the future, sending them weapons and even a megazord. He monitors the timeline and tries to ensure that it isn't altered, but there comes a point when it is, and the future changes too drastically for him to fix. He decides he has to go back in time and make sure everything stays all right.

He goes to the past and takes over as red ranger, but things don't go as planned. He treats the rangers terribly, though it is never explained why, just assumed that he was too worried about the mission to be friendly. Which is acceptable, in a way, Alex probably had a lot resting on his shoulders. It seems the producers just wanted to make him out to be the bad guy, so viewers would see Wes's point of view and want him with Jen instead of Alex.

He and the other rangers do not work well together, and in the end they turn on him and he gives Wes the morpher back. He also saves Mr. Collin's life, taking no credit for it, and that says something about him. Wes confronts him about it as he leaves for the future, and Alex makes up with him, shaking his hand.

Alex returns to the future, but that isn't the last we see of him. Circuit now contacts him to send the time flyers, and he sends the Time Shadow along with them, while no doubt still monitoring the timeline. He looks after Jen especially, obviously worries over her, and watches helplessly as Wes gets closer to her.

When Alex sees a large battle coming, in which the rangers all die, he contacts them and orders them to return to the future, obviously without Wes. The rangers refuse, but Wes tricks them into going. Alex comes to see them and is obviously relieved to see them home safe, and happy to see Jen. He tells them they have to get memory adaptation, standard procedure for all time travel missions, and that Wes died in the final battle after they left. Alex tries to comfort Jen, but she isn't receptive.

He leads them into the room to get memory adaptation, talking quietly to Jen though it's impossible to tell what he's saying. He gives her a reassuring nod, but just as he's about to initiate the adaptation, she walks out, leaving the room. He catches up with her and she says that she's going back to help Wes. He tells her he doesn't want her to, because she could be destroyed, and she says they have to. The others agree, and Jen takes her ring off, handing it to Alex. He looks at it sadly, then steps aside, letting them pass and telling them to take the megazord so they have the best chance of making it. That is the last we see of Alex.

All in all Alex is a very confusing character, seemingly there just to add something to the story, be Jen's fiance and the bad guy. The producers didn't care to give him any background or real depth, but there was obvious pain behind his blue eyes, and I always felt that there was something beneath the surface that no one knew about.
